I am a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience and a specialty in health psychology and interdisciplinary behavioral medicine.  In my private practice, I provide psychotherapy to adolescent and adult individuals and to couples. I am also the psychologist for the Bariatric Surgery Program at Fletcher Allen Health Care with an appointment to the medical staff in the Psychiatry Health Care Service. I received my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Vermont in 1990.

Individuals seek my help to overcome specific emotional and behavioral problems, to improve their well-being and quality of life, and to learn how to discover and draw on their own strengths/resources to solve problems. My specialty areas include: depression and anxiety disorders, adjustment to chronic medical conditions, eating disorders and body image disturbance, sleep disorders, and relationships problems. Using a variety of evidence-based interventions and strategies, I tailor my approach to meet the specific needs and preferences of those who seek my help. I am dedicated to empowering each individual through the therapeutic process in a confidential and supportive manner.

I also offer training and professional consultation in a variety of areas including: adjustment to chronic physical conditions, weight management and body image, leveraging technology in clinical practice and motivational interviewing.
